On 6 December 2013, Afnic has registered the 2,5 millionth .fr domain name. A number for .fr that reprensents a new milestone and figures in the top 5 ccTLDs for the fastest growth with +16% on the past year : in September 2012, the .fr TLD had a 34.1% market share in France, an increase of almost 2 points year on year. As the registry for .fr, Afnic is happy of this new step and will continue to work in order to make the TLD a key element in the French digital landscape.
